Assess yourself 1
Before lifting fast and heavy we address the importance of knowing your own capacity and quality of movements.
Assessment #1
If you are planning to lift heavy in the future, we believe it lowers the risk of injury if you are able to drop the bar behind you. Especially in the snatch we assess if you’re able to turn around your shoulders with a broom stick from front to back with extended arms. Try to pull the stick apart, keep your shoulders down and widen the grip to have the stick 5-10 cm above the crown of your head. If it is not possbile for you to turn the stick from front to back – we advice you to work on your mobility of your shoulders adn lift light.
